An ethics lecture is always interesting. There are so many different ways of justifying two completely contrasting arguments. How does one realize what is right and wrong; what is moral and what is immoral? Can you compare the outcomes using monetary values?
Should prisoners and people living in the third world countries be allowed to be used as lab-rats? Should you protect the baby or the mother? Should abortion be legal?
I like how the chapter on ethics ended with the conclusion that it might be important for a business to follow the law; but it is even more important for a company to follow good ethics. Kantian, Utilitarian or a mixture of both. You decide, but be sure to stay out of trouble!

Career conundrums
I am stuck. It feels like I had a change of heart somewhere in between the months of September and December. After analyzing my career goals over and over again, I finally came to the conclusion that I would ideally like to be in a med school next year. I am stumped by this conclusion because I (and that is a BIG, BOLD "I") switched out of my major of pre-medicine two years back so that I could pursue engineering and avoid becoming a practicing doctor that my family had initially goaded me into. Don't get me wrong - I still do not want to become a practicing doctor; I just want to get my hands as close to operating and peeping into a human body as possible. I want to design medical devices whilst having a complete understanding of the physiology and having the degree to claim my astuteness in building one of these things. Aaah, now I am a little too late to apply to med schools for the next academic year along with being delinquent on a few of their pre-requisites. Wow, I never thought I would land myself in such deep quagmire! ...Unless... I find ways to land in my dream job without getting a degree, which might be difficult but not impossible... Boy, do I need some guidance or what?!

What do I have to say about ECGs? I wonder what kind of challenges doctors today face while using information from the surface ECG. I wonder if there exists a product in the market that can take the information from the ECGs and convert it into a 3D structure of the heart for the doctors to see, or for common information to prevail.
Why not have a website where people can upload 3D videos or graphs. Why not have something that can create the illusion of 3D objects?
